Als de dag van gisteren staat ie in mijn geheugen gegrift. Die eerste opnamedag van mijn solo-project “What’s New” in de studio te Weesp. Dankzij Cees Schrama had ik ze leren kennen, tijdens een fantastische “Session” vanuit Laren: Bruno Castellucci, Bo Stief, Eef Albers en Rob Franken.
En…… ze speelden alles wat ik had bedacht, alsof we elkaar al jaren kenden. In een roes werd voor mij ’t hele concept ‘werkelijkheid’ en klonk mijn muziek dynamischer en ‘funkyer’ dan ooit. Onvergetelijk werd die tijd voor me.
Eigenlijk is die tijd weer actueler dan ooit. Ik ben helemaal 'in the mood' om er weer voor te gaan.....

It feels like yesterday, the way it is engraved in my memory. That First recording day of my solo project “What’s New” in the studio in Weesp. Thanks to Cees Schrama, I had met them, during a fantastic “Session” from Laren: Bruno Castellucci, Bo Stief, Eef Albers and Rob Franken. And….. they played everything I composed, as if we had known each other for years.
In a daze the whole concept became reality for me and my music sounded more dynamic and ‘funky’, than ever. That time was unbelievable for me.
Actually, that time is more current than ever. I am totally ‘in the mood’ to go again…..
